The Junior Sail Program, hosted each summer at University Yacht Club, introduces young sailors to the fundamentals of seamanship, confidence, and sportsmanship—often sparking a lifelong connection to the lake.
The Youth Powerboating Program helps kids in the 12–16-year-old range develop the knowledge they need to safely and legally operate small power-driven vessels in Georgia waters. It is delivered in partnership with America’s Boating Club Atlanta.
The Foundation also supports a vibrant Regatta Program, including hallmark events such as the Fall Lanier Cup and the Winter “Hot Ruddered Bum,” which bring sailors together in spirited competition and celebrate the camaraderie that defines this community.
Beyond the water, the Foundation invests in the next generation through its Scholarship Program for local students, helping young leaders pursue their academic and personal goals, as well as additional support for local charities.
